Across NSC Partners and Island Innovation, 50 mobile applications were developed and commercialized—40 through NSC Partners and 10 additional applications through Island Innovation. The broader portfolio also included web-based institutional platforms, environmental and STEM learning products, digital marketplaces, and consumer media.

Digital Marketplace & Mobile Commerce
A two-sided mobile marketplace built around advisor onboarding, pricing, commerce, content fulfillment, and customer engagement.
Winning Sports Advice® marketplace
Built a two-sided mobile marketplace connecting consumers with independent sports advisors. The platform supported advisor onboarding, pricing, in-app purchasing, real-time content fulfillment, audio commentary, ratings, and push notifications. A private iPad companion app let advisors manage and publish content. The consumer app was featured by Apple and frequently ranked among the top-five-grossing apps in the iTunes Sports category.

Institutional Platforms & Program Evaluation
Program-planning and monitoring tools developed for education and government environments and adopted through REL Pacific.
Education Logic Model (ELM)
Developed for REL Pacific, the Education Logic Model application guided educators through creating logic models that connect program resources, activities, outputs, and outcomes. The browser-based tool ran locally without an internet connection and was funded with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences.
Program Outcomes, Measures, and Targets (POMT)
Developed as a companion to ELM, the POMT application helped educators define outcomes, indicators, measures, and targets and then monitor progress over time. The browser-based tool was funded with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences.

Environmental and STEM products built from original content, field-recorded media, partnerships, and reusable product concepts.
Nature Maestro® portfolio
Built a five-app environmental education portfolio—Rainforest Day, Rainforest Night, Glacier Bay, Expedition, and Challenge—using field-recorded audio from Costa Rica and Alaska, interactive soundscapes, curriculum-aligned activities, and memory games. The suite turned a common content and interaction platform into multiple products for students, parents, and educators.
Clean Energy Hawaii STEM
Developed with the Maui Economic Development Board’s Women in Technology Program and funded in part by the U.S. Department of Education, this iPad app used interactive simulations to teach solar, wind, geothermal, hydro, and biomass concepts. Apple featured it as “New and Noteworthy” and “What’s Hot” in Education and Educational Games.

Consumer Education Products
A family of consumer learning products spanning mathematics, time, and money skills across multiple grade levels.
Kids Math Fun K–5
Built and released a six-app K–5 math suite with age-appropriate progression in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, and percentages, plus configurable practice and timed modes. The Third Grade app was featured by Apple in “Apps for Kids.”
Kids Time Fun
Extended the learning portfolio into time concepts with six modes covering clock reading, elapsed time, before-and-after calculations, and mixed practice. Settings allowed teachers and families to tailor difficulty to the learner.
Kids Coin Fun
Extended the portfolio into money math with six activities covering coin identification, counting, totals, purchases, and change. Apple featured the app as “What’s Hot” in Education, Kids Games, and Educational Games.
Digital media

A consumer product combining visual language, art, and game mechanics with Apple recognition and national media exposure.
WordPlay by Muddyum®
Created with New York illustrator Muddyum, WordPlay combined found-object typography, photography, visual language, and three game modes. Apple featured it in “What’s Hot,” and the app was cited in The Wall Street Journal.
